Restrictions & Special Conditions
- A local Italian address and legal presence (with valid fiscal code) are mandatory for local and national ports
- The fiscal code (Codice Fiscale) is a 16-character alphanumeric code specific to the authorized person — this is not the same as the VAT/TAX ID
- A migration code is required for local/national numbers (must be obtained from the current provider before submitting the port request)
- Service outages may occur during the porting process
Key Definitions
- Codice Fiscale: Italy's fiscal code, a 16-character alphanumeric identifier assigned to individuals. Required for the authorized person on local/national port requests.
- Migration Code: A code provided by the current carrier that authorizes the transfer of the number. Must be obtained before submitting the porting request.
Notes
- Toll-free ports require fewer documents than local/national (no migration code, no fiscal code)
- The LOA template is available for download — contact support@blazesms.com if you need assistance
- Plan ahead for cancellation/postponement windows — once the deadline passes, there is no possibility of fallback
- Always obtain the migration code from your current provider before initiating the port
