Understanding your SMS marketing bill

SMS marketing shouldn’t run on a credit system, or on a fixed, maximum number of SMS you are allowed to send per month. That’s why, at BlazeSMS, we have an extremely clear and flexible pricing model. We bill on a per-message basis. Your bill then ultimately consists of your subscription (from Free to Professional), plus the cost of any SMS/MMS that you send.

BlazeSMS’s billing

1. Subscription price:
   1. Free (there is a $5 monthly minimum spend to keep your phone number active).
   2. Growth ($50/month. Enjoy a 10% reduction on SMS/MMS cost).
   3. Professional ($250/month. Enjoy a 30% reduction on SMS/MMS cost).
2. SMS/MMS per-message pricing: You are billed for each message at a fixed rate depending on your plan (for example, a penny per text). For each message there is a small variable carrier fee that also is past-through to you.

Current bill - Unbilled vs Billed fees

Your current billing statement can be easily accessed on your Account → Billing page

Billing is broken down into 2 sections:

“Billed” fees

Billed fees are those that have been successfully settled. They are paid in full.

“Unbilled” fees

Unbilled fees are those that have not yet been settled. They are fees owed that will soon be processed.

Your invoice clearly labels:

• Messaging fees: These are the SMS and MMS costs specific to your plan, billed on a per-message basis.
• Carrier fees: Shown separately for convenience, these are the small per-message fees imposed by carriers. Each carrier has a different per-message fee. These are typically about 1/4 or 1/3 of your messaging fee costs.
• Recurring fees: This the the recurring monthly fee (if any) associated with your plan.
