Creating a Keyword

Keywords are terms that anyone can text your phone number in order to trigger an action. Actions often include: Receiving an auto-generated discount code, becoming automatically subscribed, and more. In general, they are a quick way that customers can get subscribed and receive rewards. Keyword actions are customizable. You can easily add or edit events that will take place for the sender.

How to create a Keyword

Creating a Keyword is simple:

1. Click Keywords from the left-hand menu
2. Click “Create Keyword”
3. Enter a keyword - this will be the exact phrase that a user needs to text in order to become subscribed. We recommend simple phrases like “save15” or “laborday”. You can choose anything here, but keep it short and sweet.
4. Click “Save” in the top right.

In the following example, we’re going to create a keyword: “save15”. This is the phrase that a customer can text us in order to trigger whatever actions we desire, such as automatically generating a 15% off coupon, and sending it to them.
